Everything about Tanzania, in one place

Most of what is written about Tanzania covers the Serengeti and Zanzibar and stops there. See You Tanzania covers the rest of it too: every national park, the regions most visitors never read about, the country's history and government, and the practical things people search for and rarely find in one place. It is written for visitors and for Tanzanians alike, and it is free to read.

Who makes it

The site is edited by Kabeer Dalvi, who lives in Tanzania, and run by a small team based here. Every page carries his name and the date it was last reviewed. See You Tanzania is part of MGroup Africa. To reach us, see the contact page.

How the pages are made

Every fact on a page is checked against a named source, and the sources are listed at the foot of that page under Checked against. We prefer official sources, such as TANAPA, the Government of Tanzania, the Bank of Tanzania and the United Nations, and we say so where we rely on anything else. Where reliable sources disagree, we give the range and say who says what. When we get something wrong, we correct it and record the correction.

The full rules, including how we use AI tools and the corrections we have made, are on how we check our facts.

Photographs

Most photographs on the site so far come from Wikimedia Commons and archives such as the UK National Archives, used under their licences and credited under each picture and on the image credits page. We are adding our own photographs as we travel.
